We are supporting Tara Quaradeghini who is running the WR10K on 27 September in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support having lost her dear sister Nicole last year to biliary cancer. Her Father Enzo is owner of Taberna Estrusca, one of the oldest and most successful Italian Restaurants in the City and a very good friend of ours. We have teamed up with another good friend of ours Alan Brazil to see if we can boost the amount of money Tara raises for Macmillan by offering a “money cant buy” silent auction. Alan is Breakfast Show host on the award winning Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast. Over 1.5m listeners tune in each week to hear the former Manchester United , Ipswich and Scotland striker. He attracts some of the biggest sporting names and is one of the longest standing and most successful presenters in UK radio having presented the show since 2001.

The Auction Prize

The auction prize is for 5 people to go to TalkSport as Alans guest and listen to (and maybe take part in) the last hour of the show from 9 until 10. After the show you will be Alan’s guest for lunch at Taberna Etrusca (excluding drink). Enzo is donating the lunch, Alan the company! The date can be mutually agreed between all of you and we will arrange a drink before hand so you can meet Alan and Enzo and discuss the format of the day. It will be a thoroughly entertaining day I can assure you. This really is a “money can’t buy” experience and all the money raised on this auction will go to Macmillan Cancer.

We are running this as a silent auction as I can’t think of a better way of doing it and If you would like to bid please send me an email to secretary@thegeclub.com by 14 September at the latest telling me what you would like to bid and, for those who have put in a bid, I will let you know after 14th whether or not you have been successful. I would like to think that we can get over £2,000 for this as it is so unique but feel free to bid whatever you think is appropriate. There can only be one winner.

If you don’t fancy bidding then please feel free to support Tara on her Justgiving page which you can find here https://www.justgiving.com/Tara-Quaradeghini/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=fundraisingpage&utm_content=Tara-Quaradeghini&utm_campaign=pfp-share

She will be very grateful as will Macmillan.

Thank you in advance for your support.
